The downloaded folder contains:

  • faceMesh.glb
  • headOccluder.glb
  • face.png
  • face.psd
  • FaceMesh.png

What’s included in the Reference Assets

When you open the downloaded files on your computer you’ll see two folders: Mesh and Textures. The Mesh folder contains a 3D mesh and a 3D head occluder in glb file format. The Texture folder contains 2D texture files of the face reference and face tracking mesh.

Mesh

This folder contains two 3D objects:

  • faceMesh.glb — the face mesh used in our 2D face tracking experiences. Use it as a scale reference when creating objects and textures.
  • headOccluder.glb — Use it as a scale reference when creating objects and textures, we use this object to occlude the volume of the user’s head in an experience.

Textures

This folder contains 3 types of 2D textures in JPG and PNG format:

  • face.png — this texture illustrates a black and white representation of a real face.
  • FaceMesh.png — this textures show the topology and points on the face tracked by Meta Spark Studio. Use them for debugging effects.
  • face.psd — this psd file contains layers for the face texture with different skin tones to illustrate the look of faces with various skin tones. Toggle between different layer comps to use them as templates when creating custom textures for face effects, to give you an idea of the position of the features and skin tones of the person using your effect.
